Holiday Time

 This holiday season, I took some time off work to be able to spend time with my family and just relax. not having  to worry about work during an already busy time.  I spent a little bit of time crafting so I thought I would share my creations.

One of the days I worked on a junk journal page.  I went a little overboard with the doodles at the end, but I like how it turned out overall











I also made these Christmas postcards to send to my nieces.  Recently I have been leaving the images uncolored so that they can color them in themselves.  They are both very into coloring and I hope they never lose that sense of creativity.




My friend's mom and brother joined us for a few days.  It was just as a snow storm was coming so we couldn't go out and do much.  We did watch a few shows and movies so I used that time to doodle and color


This is a coloring book I snagged from Dollar General a while back.  I used markers to color these cats


These two were done on my ipad in Procreate.  I like to color on there too since it is more forgiving and you can do all sorts of different things with colors, textures, etc.  I didn't draw these, I found the line art images on Pinterest or Google and then just used them as a reference to color in.











The lighting is terrible, but these are a few of the doodles I was doing during the movies. I was copying off some cute "ugly critters" I found on Pinterest. 

Another day I worked on these postcards.  They were my gift to my nieces.  I am going to take them to EnterTRAINment junction so I made these train postcards to let them know






And finally, the craftermath of my most recent card creation.  I cannot show the card yet, but it involved all of these ink pads to color in.  It's a whimsical card using blues, purples, and pinks along with a new Gnome stamp set that was just released from Stampin' Up!  This month's focus for class was the new catalog along with Sale A Bration.

Challenge # 2 Complete!

So the reason I decided to do these keychains is because I saw them here (http://etsyrussianteam.blogspot.com/2011/06/moustache-keychain.html) which I linked to from Pinterest. The only problem with this tutorial is that I couldn't get my sewing machine to cooperate with me and the fabric. It was just too small to sew and it kept shifting and messing up. So I thought about it and decided I could do it by hand. Materials: Scissors, Pen, Adhesive, Fabric, Embroidery Floss, Thread, Template, Sewing Needle, Embroidery Needle I started out by cutting out a mustache template using my Cricut and the Bump in the Night cartridge. I used a heavy cardstock so that I could trace it without too much problem. I then traced the mustache onto the WRONG side of the fabric two times because we will sandwich them together to create the keychain. Sunday Funday Hazie Style

I watched my niece/goddaughter this weekend while her parents had a much needed weekend away for their anniversary.  She is a riot and kept me on my toes the whole time. One thing she loves is to paint. So on Sunday, we got out the paint and some canvas and went to town. There was a point where I felt like I lost control of the situation but it was fun nonetheless. I need to figure out how to finish my piece with the dots… I may add a quote over them or in between…

Easter weekend...

Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a great weekend :) I sure did! My boyfriend was in town and we got to do a lot together. Yesterday we went to the movies and then dinner with his parents and then we went to a park to walk around for a little bit before going to the Easter Vigil at my church. I'm so glad he got to experience that with me because it's my most favorite mass of the whole entire year. Then today we went to the Reds game with his friend Tanner and my friend Sammie. Shout out to Momma Tree for the tickets - thank you sooooo much! It was a beautiful day and a great game with awesome peeps :) The only bad parts were the sunburn and the fact that my Ky had to go back to school :( but I shall see him soon enough! I'm heading to Athens on Thursday to spend a few days with him and see where he gets edumacated. On another note, I haven't gotten my challenge yet, so in the meantime I shall talk about a recent project. Most recent would have to be the mustache keych...
